Yo!
I'm trying to build a 6 buttons stick using Emanuele Bettidi schematic. I remade it under Eagle (link).
Here's an image export is you don't have Eagle (link).
I'll try to make the circuit this week. But it promises to be painful as the original board has 2 layers (hires phoso)
Please let me know if I made any mistakes.
[Hardware] 6 buttons stick
Re: [Hardware] 6 buttons stick
you could simplify the circuit by just using a microcontroller to do everything directly. it would be a much simpler design and cheaper.
Re: [Hardware] 6 buttons stick
I don't want to write code that emulates a dump ttl chip that may cost 20 cents
Anyway, I found some errors in the schematics. I also did a board layout. It's not the final version. The 2nd layer is ugly and some paths can be optimized. But it will be enough to run some tests.

Re: [Hardware] 6 buttons stick
Here's the version without auto-fire.
I'll try to solder a prototype in the next weeks.

Re: [Hardware] 6 buttons stick
Here's a little 3d render of the card I did with this online 3D gerber viewer.
Re: [Hardware] 6 buttons stick
Looks nice. Did you ever put it into an arcade stick?
Re: [Hardware] 6 buttons stick
Not yet. I received the board last week. I have everything except the enclosure
Maybe I'll take the lazy path and buy one.

Re: [Hardware] 6 buttons stick
I finally started working on the case.
Re: [Hardware] 6 buttons stick
I can't count to 6...
Re: [Hardware] 6 buttons stick
I was at a bbq this week-end. I snatched a japanese hardware hacking book and took some photos with my cell phone
It's basically an article about how to make a 6 buttons arcade stick for the PC Engine.
