IC2005 Flash carts ?

Hi all, I'm looking at getting back into some PC-Engine development again for the first time in a little over 20 years

From some research it appears that the Flash card available from IC2005 is nice simple, and will do the job for what I want in terms of being able to test on the real thing..

My only question is are they reliable ? And has anyone here from the UK shipped successfully ? I had a hard time just signing up because it insisted on a 5 digit zip-code, and wouldn't take a UK postcode, so I filled it in as 0000, and then changed it to the UK post-code inside the profile modify page, which is strangely accepted..

Sorry if it's not the done thing to ask here, but there seems so few PCE places on the net it seemed like the best bet..

Andy

Welcome!

I can't help you about the UK shipping as the french zip code is 5 numbers long. But it seems that a pcenginefx [link] user living in the UK managed to buy one (well the post is from 2007).
About the reliability... On necstasy [link], some users reported that their 64M card went foobar after some time. From what I understood the 128M version seems more robust. But as always maybe it was just the law of statistics striking back once again.

I have the tototek card. And I haven't used it for years. The parallel + usb port combo is a pain in the ass. Every time I wanted to use it, I had to tweak the bios and reinstall the flashing tool.

I was kind of clutching at straws really with that really, but all is fine and dandy, just had a mail from them saying it would be sent out today, so it would appear my paranoia over the inability to put in UK postcode was unwarranted :)

I got one of the 128MB + Save carts after reading what I had done about the 64M ones, but we'll see.. As long as I can easily get my code on it and test it then I won't complain, and at least it looked nice, simple and modern(ish) :)

Really can't wait for the thing to arrive now and become reacquainted with an old friend I've very fond memories of :)

Just thought I'd add to this in case anyone else goes searching and looking for info on this..
Cart duly delivered 3 days later using DHL & with tracking for no extra cost..
Quite impressed with the speed given stuff takes longer to arrive from inside the UK half the time :)
So, a big old thumbs up to IC2005 from me :)

Cool! Maybe I'll get one. Or wait for someone to make a card with SRAM/FRAM ala tenokoe card.
Anyway, happy coding :D

I thought about buying them myself, but the parts are flying around all over the place you just need to find the right number and buy them and build it. yourself, or maybe together.

Is the card logic system updateable/flashable? Like support for PCE hardware (populous ram, street fighter 2 mapper)? I'd love to be able to just buy a card that supports the SF2 extend mapper that Mednafen added support for, rather than just build it my self (all those roms chips on a long board :( )
